Who is responsible

The business trading as Velogolf is responsible for personal information it controls. Full legal company particulars are awaiting confirmation, as explained in our terms. For privacy enquiries or requests, contact info@velogolf.app or write to our contact address below.

Information & purposes

Order and payment services may collect your name, contact details, billing and delivery address, order details, payment status and transaction information to process your purchase and fulfil the contract. Shopify handles goods checkout; Stripe handles coaching payments and card information. This website does not store full card numbers or a local customer database for coaching payments.

If you contact us, we use the information you provide to respond, arrange coaching, handle returns and resolve complaints. Technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details, security events and error logs, may be processed by hosting and payment services to operate and protect the website.

We rely on performance of a contract for orders and bookings, legal obligations for applicable accounting and consumer requirements, and legitimate interests for proportionate security, fraud prevention and responding to enquiries. Where consent is required for marketing or non-essential storage, it must be obtained separately; a purchase is not blanket marketing consent.

You must provide information needed to complete or deliver your order; without it we may be unable to fulfil it. Please do not email card details or sensitive health information. If health information is needed for coaching, an appropriate lawful basis and secure collection process must be established first.

Providers & international processing

Information may be shared as necessary with Shopify, Stripe, delivery providers, hosting and technical service providers, and professional advisers or authorities where legally required. Providers may act as processors or independent controllers for some activities.

Some providers process information outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer occurs, applicable safeguards must be used, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

Provider notices: Shopify privacy policy and Stripe privacy policy.

Retention & security

Information is kept only as long as needed for the order or enquiry, applicable record-keeping duties, and the establishment or defence of legal claims. Retention depends on the type of record and applicable obligation; payment providers maintain their own records under their policies. Contact us for the retention period applicable to a particular record.

We use appropriate access restrictions and service-provider security measures. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Basket information is stored on your device as described in our cookies & local storage policy.

Your rights & complaints

Subject to applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may object to direct marketing at any time. Providers may use automated fraud assessments; contact the relevant provider or us if you need to query a payment decision.

Contact info@velogolf.app to exercise rights. We may need proportionate identity verification and normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or your competent local supervisory authority. You do not have to complain to us first.
